TEPRI presented our Energy Poverty Landscape Analysis at the Behavior, Energy, and Climate Change Conference in Sacramento, CA on Tuesday, October 17. With the aim to increase understanding of energy poverty and to raise awareness, we discussed key findings from this project, including:
- Housing and financial barriers are upstream challenges affecting downstream solutions
- We need greater understanding of low-to-moderate income customers and how they are affected by power sector
- Opportunities exist to scale up profitable low-to-moderate income customer services
