Since July 1979, Stella Rodriguez has been employed with the Texas Association of Community Action Agencies (TACAA). She served in various capacities in the organization and was promoted to Executive Director in the spring of 1994.
Stella is responsible for promoting and carrying out the goals and objectives of the TACAA Board of Directors, which includes advocating for Community Action Agencies’ programs benefiting low-income individuals, children, families, persons with disabilities and the elderly, and transitioning people out of poverty; providing tools and resources for capacity building of Community Action Agencies; administering Board approved programs; and ensuring TACAA’s finances are sound and performance measures are met or exceeded.
Throughout the years, Stella cultivated and enhanced the partnership with the Community Action network in Texas and other states, and maintains partnerships and/or represents the network via committees with state and federal agencies and other organizations at the local, state, regional and national level. She is passionate of the services provided by Community Action Agencies!
